Starting point for hikes - EGGALMBAHN

The 4er gondola of the Eggalm operates also during summer - a blessing for your hiking and summit intentions. The Valley Station ist at 1.284m altitude in the village of Lanersbach in Tux, a side valley of the Zillertal. The mountain station lies 667m higher than the Valley Station. Already when you get out of the gondola you are wrapped in a magnificent mountian panorama.

Serveral most beautiful hiking trails start from here. A diversified panorma tour with view of the glacier leads you, e.g., to the 2.395m high Grübelspitze and farhter - via a narrow ridge - to the Ramsjoch whose summit cross is dedicated to the `regulars`of the Tux. When descending you may pass by the mystical Tor lakes that are embedded in a basin between Tor face and summit.
